Day 41

Went to an abandoned rock quarry 2 days ago and took these pictures with my friend Erin.  We had a great time.  It was nice to go out and take some pictures for fun for once.  It seems like it's all business sometimes...Hope you all enjoy!  Thanks for looking.

Day 40

Christmas day!

I went home to the in-laws, or at least the future in-laws for Christmas this year.  This is the first Christmas I've spent away from home, so it was interesting being away from my family.  It was a lot of fun though.  

Went to one side of the family for Xmas eve and the other for Christmas day.  Watched the kids open a lot of presents and had a really great time.

Took a couple shots of my xmas tree over a few days.  

'Tis the season!  We have had our tree set up for a few weeks now and I just got to taking pictures of it within the last couple of days.

Everyone said that Stella takes great pictures, so I decided to take a picture of her and see.

I think it turned out really well.  A little dark, but decent :)

Day 29

Every year we have a 'dysfunctional family Thanksgiving' with all of my friends.  It is always a few weeks after Thanksgiving and we dress strange and make way too much food and have a good time.  These are some pictures from that evening.  

This first one is of my friend Jil (middle), friend Stella (right) and fiance Sam (left) on the skybridge in Davenport.

This one is my Jil...she is dressed up and has GREAT teeth....Not sure why she decided to have fake teeth in, but I thought it was funny :)

Days 28-39

Well...I knew it would happen.  I fell behind, big time.

Day 27

Sunday night...the fiance has finals this week...she won't be going to bed.  Snuck in a picture of her while I was working on my pictures from the wedding the night before. 

It's now Tuesday and she still hasn't slept more than 4 hrs per night...eek.  I'm glad I've graduated and moved on to better things!!

Day 26

Had a wedding with Shawn on Saturday.  These are a few pics from the wedding.  It was a good time, the couple was a little boring (shh, don't tell anyone I said that :)  ), but overall it was a good time.  Love taking pictures, so that was a plus.  Weather was cold, but the B+G were brave and still did a decent amount of outdoor pictures.  I was actually surprised.  The Bride was willing to stay out longer with her bridesmaids, but they were not feeling the cold weather, at all!

Wedding Today

Have a wedding today, starting at 1pm.  Going to be cold (only about 20 degrees today), but fun!  I'll post a picture from that this evening.  Hope all of you are having a great day!!

Day 24

It was very cold outside today, only 13 degrees in the sun!

So I took advantage of the cold and stayed inside to edit some pictures and catch up on the latest TV shows :)

My friend Andy got a new puppy this week.  An 8 month old white Siberian Husky.  A beautiful dog with the most captivating blue eyes ever!

Day 21+

So, it's been an extremely crazy week and I missed 2 days worth of pictures!!!  Unfortunately I don't even have time to update the pictures that I have taken, so I will have to work on it later.

Just an update to let all of you know that I will be posting tonight!

Day 20

It started snowing last night.  It is still snowing today.  I love taking pictures of snow, unfortunately it generally snows when I can't take pictures.  Such as this one, when it's 11pm and starts snowing.  Not much I can do about it though.  I went out with the dog and played in the snow anyway.  

Day 19

As a tradition my Grandmother always puts up her Christmas tree.  This is the same tree topper that she has had since I have been alive.  Not the greatest picture, but the topper has special meaning.  Thanks for looking!

Day 18 - Thanksgiving!

This is from Thanksgiving day.  I went home to Chicago to eat Thanksgiving dinner with my family.  This is one of the first times I've been home in about 3 years, it was a nice change.  Hope you enjoy the pictures :)  The first is of everyone eating, 2nd is of my grandmother.

My is my childhood cat.  He is a maine coon cat and weighs about 20 lbs.  He is the largest cat that I have seen.  His name is Merlin and I couldn't resist taking a picture of his curly eyebrows.

Day 16

I finally got a chance to go home and see my parents for Thanksgiving.  I haven't been home for Thanksgiving in about 4 years.  My parents are thrilled to see me and I couldn't be happier to be around finally for the holidays.  This is my dad.

I took this picture while I was sitting around watching tv.  An old episode of House was on, and I saw the season sitting out.  So, that's how I got this picture!

Finally have a chance to post my backdated images.  This one was taken of the fire truck that was called to my neighbors house.  I decided to not be rude and take a picture of all of the action, but capture something about the event without being intrusive.

Went to lunch with a friend from Oregon.  He was in town just for a few days, but it was a good time.  He decided to take my sunglasses and my hat.

Day 5

Not all that much going on today.  Went to the dog park and out to lunch...watched a movie and relaxed the rest of the day.  Overall it was a pretty dark and gloomy day for pictures, so I didn't get much.  Here's what I have!

I played around with this one for a while, I took all of the color out except for yellow (and other shades similar)

Day 4

Day for of the 365 project:

I got my new dog today!  Adopted her from Mix and Match Animal Rescue in Iowa City, IA.  

She is a 2 year old German Shepherd/Boarder Collie mix.  

She is amazing!!  Our cats are still getting used to her, but they are warming up to her pretty well.  They will still hiss if she gets too close, but when she's sleeping they will sleep close by.

Going strong for 3 days...

I went to dinner this evening, no one really wanted their picture taken, but I took them anyway :)  They are kind of boring, but there wasn't much to get in this place.  I will get better ones tomorrow.

I can't remember the last time I had a blog...so this will be interesting. 

I am going to try the 'take one picture a day for 365 days' challenge/project.  I will do the best I can with this, we'll see how it turns out!
